Welcome to Call of Duty Black Ops 4’s battle royale mode, Blackout. We’ve seen a huge rise in popularity with the battle royale genre, but nothing is going to compare to Blackout.
Take the last ten years of Call of Duty, and all of it’s wonderful features, spin it on its head, and boom, we’ve got ourselves a fresh take on the battle royale genre.
Ten years of Call of Duty in one, Blackout is here to compete
Blackout is going to include some of your favorite weapons of all time, characters who’ve captured our hearts throughout the years (RIP Ghost), and some of the most iconic parts of your favorite maps. Blackout is going to feature the biggest Call of Duty map ever created, the size of 1500 Nuketown maps to be exact, and you’ll be able navigate it using land, sea, and air vehicles.
Can’t wait to see how Treyarch will implement their own mechanics, signature controls, gameplay system, and the kind of fast paced action that only Call of Duty can deliver. Players will be able to participate in a private beta that can be acquired by pre-ordering the game. Hopefully the beta gives us access to the Blackout battle royale mode, to see if the internet is right by calling this the end of Fortnite.
